MYRON STOUT (1908–1987), the quintessential artist’s artist, has been the subject of many revelatory exhibitions at New York’s Joan T. Washburn Gallery these past two decades. Reflections from his journals were published in 2005 (MidMarch Arts Press). A retrospective of his work is long overdue (the first and last was held at the Whitney Museum in 1980).
