PAUL HAMMOND is a writer, painter and translator. His most recent book is Constellations of Miró, Breton (City Lights, 2000). Right now he is finishing a study of Buñuel in the 1930s with Spanish film historian Román Gubern. In 2007 Atlas Press published his translation of Leiris’s Mirror of Tauromachy. He is presently completing a series of paintings begun in the 1980s.
